We've been featured in the Daily Item again! The article discusses some of the inspiration behind our foundation and some of the first recipients of equipment! What an uplifting story for the month of December!
One excerpt from the article reads:
Tanya and Adam McHale hope to help more families of physically and mentally challenged children through their Peyty Foundation, named after what Peyton’s younger sister called her.
“We knew after Peyton passed away, we wanted to do something,” said Tanya, 34, of rural Danville. “She had such a magic about her. It was just a matter of taking that plunge and going through the grieving process.”
“We knew it couldn’t end there,” said Adam, 33.

November 27, 2016 was a big day for us at The Peyty Foundation. This date marked the very first equipment presentation to one of our applicants. Jake had used a rifton tricycle before and his parents had been trying for 2 years to get him his very own to use at home! Jakes birthday was right around the corner and we decided to make the delivery and surprise him with this for his birthday, the pure joy on this sweet little boys face when he got on his new bike was such a blessing for me, as the founder of this organization, to see. The pride in Jakes parents faces as they watched him ride around the streets was the same pride I so often had when seeing Peyton do things! We at The Peyty Foundation are looking forward to granting more families and children this same joy! Giving these deserving children the opportunity to access their worlds! Equipping them with a voice of empowerment! That's what this foundation is all about.
